2021

Appeared in 50 games for DET, making 39 starts in RF while hitting .212 (35-for-165) with 5 2B, 3 HR, 19 RBI and 12 runs scored... Placed on the 10-day IL on April 15 with a left abdominal strain...played in three games for Toledo (AAA) on a rehab assignment before being reinstated on May 8... Despite time missed with a thumb injury that hampered him over the season's final 2 1/2 months, still matched career high with 20 HR and posted 2nd-best RBI (77) and 2B (25) totals of his brief career…Mazara is one of 21 MLB players (10 in A.L.) with 20+ HR, 25+ 2B, and 75+ RBI in each of the last 2 seasons.

DISABLED LIST:

On the DL, 7/17-8/15 with right thumb sprain…was examined by hand specialist Dr. Thomas DiLiberti after the season, who determined that
surgery was not necessary at that time…sustained the injury during the club's series in Baltimore prior to the All-Star break…had 6-G rehab assignment with Round Rock & Frisco, 8/9-15, going 6-for-20 (.300) with 2 RBI.

Led Hickory in games (126) and was among the team leaders in doubles (2nd, 23) and RBI (3rd, 62) in 1st full professional season…led the Crawdads in games played (126)…tabbed the 15th-best prospect in the SAL by Baseball America…hit .175 over his 1st 31 G, then had a .301 average over next 45 contests to raise mark to season-high .248…hit just .219 the rest of the way.
